Can New Zealanders travel overseas?
We currently advise that all New Zealanders do not travel overseas at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, associated health risks and widespread travel restrictions. Our ‘Do not travel’ advisory was issued on 19 March 2020. It currently applies to all overseas destinations except for Australia the Cook Islands.
Can anyone travel to Australia now? You must hold a visa and either be automatically exempt or have a travel exemption before you travel to Australia. You can request a travel exemption online and must provide appropriate evidence to support your claims.
