Australia reopened its borders to fully vaccinated tourists on February 21, having previously had some of the most stringent entry regulations on the planet. However, this doesn’t mean the entire country is a free-for-all. Those border regulations are at a national level.
Can anyone travel to Australia now?
You must hold a visa and either be automatically exempt or have a travel exemption before you travel to Australia. You can request a travel exemption online and must provide appropriate evidence to support your claims.

Can we travel out of Auckland?
You can travel anywhere in New Zealand at all traffic light settings. There are no boundaries under the traffic lights. You can travel for any reason. Do not travel if you are unwell, isolating or waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test.
Is Duty Free Open at Auckland Airport during Covid? Aelia Duty Free stores at Auckland Airport international terminal are currently closed. For departing and arriving international travellers please visit The Loop Duty Free. The Mall also offers a wide range of duty and tax free products to order online up to three months in advance of your travels.
Are Australian citizens allowed to leave Australia? Unvaccinated Australian citizens and permanent residents wishing to travel overseas (apart from children under 12 and those who cannot be vaccinated for acceptable medical reasons) are required to apply for an exemption to leave Australia.
Will Australia allow international travel? From 21 February 2022, all visa holders who are fully vaccinated for international travel purposes can travel to Australia without a travel exemption. Unvaccinated visa holders will still need to be in an exempt category or hold an individual travel exemption to enter Australia.
Can international Travellers quarantine at home?
You must self-isolate at your home or accommodation until you receive a negative result from your rapid antigen test taken within 24 hours of your arrival in NSW. Self-isolation means staying at your home or accommodation and remaining separated from others, even if you are fully vaccinated and feeling well.
Can I enter WA?
Returning Western Australians who, within the last two years, had their ordinary place of residence in WA and are returning in order to permanently reside in WA are permitted to enter WA, subject to the abovementioned quarantine and testing conditions.

Can you fly to Tasmania without quarantine? There are currently no entry requirements in place for any travellers to Tasmania.
Can I leave NZ?
The New Zealand Government advises New Zealanders to “do not travel” — the highest level — for all destinations except the Cook Islands and Australia.
Can I travel now? the country will allow people to enter from the UK. you will need to show proof of vaccination status or proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
Do you have to quarantine in NZ?

Can NZ citizens travel overseas? We currently advise that all New Zealanders do not travel overseas at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, associated health risks and widespread travel restrictions. Our ‘Do not travel’ advisory was issued on 19 March 2020. It currently applies to all overseas destinations except for Australia the Cook Islands.
Can I buy duty free on an internal flight?
Will domestic passengers also be able to buy duty free? If not, what will they pay? No. UK domestic legislation prevents duty free being extended to domestic travellers, so passengers must be leaving the UK in order to be able to purchase goods for their own personal use free of duty and taxes.
Can I buy duty free on arrival in Auckland? For arriving travellers, The Loop Duty Free store is after customs, before you pass through the baggage claim area. All The Loop Duty Free stores are currently open at times aligned to departing and arriving flight schedules.
Can I still buy duty free?
U.K. citizens will now be able to purchase such products when travelling to EU countries at duty-free prices, which is currently not allowed. According to the government, this is likely to save travellers around £2.23 on a 75 cl bottle of wine and up to around £11.50 on a bottle of 40% ABV spirits.
