From 21 February 2022, all visa holders who are fully vaccinated for international travel purposes can travel to Australia without a travel exemption. Unvaccinated visa holders will still need to be in an exempt category or hold an individual travel exemption to enter Australia.

Can I fly out of Australia?
You are exempt from travel restrictions, and can leave Australia without applying for an exemption if you are: an Australian citizen or permanent resident who is fully vaccinated for international travel purposes. an airline, maritime crew or associated safety worker.

Make sure your test result is negative and you remain without symptoms before traveling. If you had confirmed COVID-19 within the past 90 days, you do NOT need to get tested, but you should still follow all other recommendations (including if you develop COVID-19 symptoms).

Can you fly to Tasmania without quarantine?

When can you fly after Covid?
Do not travel until a full 5 days after your last close contact with the person with COVID-19. It is best to avoid travel for a full 10 days after your last exposure. If you must travel during days 6 through 10 after your last exposure: Get tested at least 5 days after your last close contact.
